“We booked Sandbrook House for my sister’s hen party and it was the perfect choice. The house itself is beautiful and perfectly set up for a group gathering. The bedrooms are well laid out and super cosy, even in an Irish January! We used John for catering and he did an amazing job with a buffet dinner. The communication leading up to the weekend from Richael was very impressive and she was incredibly helpful with any questions we had along the way. Needless to say we would absolutely recommend Sandbrook House and will be visiting ourselves again without a doubt! A massive thank you to everyone involved in the running and organisation of such a gorgeous venue”.

“Just wanted to express our deep appreciation to you and your team in what was a thoroughly wonderful weekend with our   family at Sandbrook House.

From the moment we turned into the gate and up the sweeping avenue, the kids in the back said they were visiting the Queen! This indeed was a fitting location for her.

We especially loved the fact that the house contained so much of your lives, an eclectic mix of old new and from all corners of the globe. The house was beaming with life with each room having its own unique feel. The decor and furnishings creating an indulgent escape from the ordinary. Especially enjoyable was piecing together the history and stories that run through the house.

As a large family group, 19 adults and all the kids, the living rooms and gardens allowed us all to find our quiet spaces and relaxing time as well as the great gatherings in the dining room and music rooms for evenings.

The house is so well equipped there is nothing you can think of that is needed from kitchen utensils to reading materials! Indeed the kitchen just invites you to want to create culinary delights.

As for entertaining the children, we hardly saw them with their hide and seek adventures throughout the house and gardens, with the horses getting renamed by each child! The gardens are really beautiful, not overly manicured but a mix of Irish cottage garden and wild natural landscapes and colourful flowers and birdlife in abundance.

We loved everything about the house and appreciated the small personal touches you put in to facilitate our family celebration. We hope we’ll get to return again sometime.

Thank you once again, and wishing you the best in future events.”

“Thank you so much we had a wonderful time, the weekend exceeded our expectations on every level. The house was a perfect mix of indulgence and homeliness, just oozing relaxed comfort. The Sandbrook team were just amazing and nothing was too much bother, no matter how surreal or strange the request was. The food was sublime, I’m still feasting on the memories, John was brilliant, a true culinary artist.

Just to let you know that we are not social media people, but we promise to spread how wonderfully special Sandbrook House is by word of mouth.

Thank you again and take care of yourself.”

A Co. Carlow Gem

We booked Sandbrook House for a special birthday celebration few days and we were blown away by the comfort, spaciousness and ambiance of the house. The interior of the house is both beautiful and practical. Perfect for our whole family – from 3 to 80 years old.
It served the purpose so well with lovely reception rooms and cosy but generous kitchen for a family gathering.
We stayed in winter so the house came into its own with lovely fires in the lounges and dining room, not to mention the gorgeous Christmas tree in the entrance hall.
Jackie the house manager was extremely helpful as was John the recommended chef who provided dinner for us.
All in all, we were so delighted with our choice of venue as were our guests who all want to return.
I could go on and on – giant bath tubs, books and board games in the lounge, Sonos system throughout the house.
Quite simply lovely, relaxing place to spend a few days in the countryside and just an hour from Dublin.
